In an announcement that smells of 'break-up record,' longtime Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard has confirmed his first-ever solo LP is on the horizon. Former Lives will be released on October 16 through Barsuk Records.Aeons ago, Gibbard made some underground EPs as All-Time Quarterback, but this is his first non-Death Cab LP since the Postal Service's Give Up came out in 2003. God, that's almost ten years ago.
No track list for Former Lives has been shared just yet, nor have any tour dates. But there's already the promise of a North American tour for the album, and, well, we'll know the song titles soon enough...
