Bat For Lashes Album Cover New Single Unveiled

Yikes. That's quite the front cover for the third Bat for Lashes LP, The Haunted Man. Not since Cat Power paraded the "first pubic hairs ever to be published in The New Yorker" has the gentle top of a starlet's downy lambchop so entranced indie music fans.

Yet, that entrancement pales in comparison next to "Laura," the utterly glorious first single from the album. The stunning piano-ballad is spine-tingling stuff; Natasha Khan's ode to a forlorn friend feeling utterly timeless and endlessly profound. The "Laura" video is also plenty impressive.

The Haunted Man is out October 15 in the UK and October 23 in North America. Khan has a host of European tour dates already lined up; with surely more to come on the other side of the pond.
